We had your 3 month pictures taken today

Thursday, February 19, 2009
Dear Max,
Today we had your 3 month pictures taken. Your Aunt Emilie took them and she always does such a great job! I'm sure it's easy for her cause your such a beautiful baby. You were such a good sport letting us do 3 costume changes. I can't wait to hang them on our walls at home. You gave us some great smiles. We love you Max!

Here are some of your daddy and my favorites!

3 Months Old Today

Wednesday, February 18, 2009
Dear Max,
Today you are three months old! I can not believe how quickly the time has passed. Everyone told us that time would go quickly, but it is truly amazing how fast it goes. I'm so grateful you are a healthy and happy little guy... However, I'm afraid your no longer such a "little" guy. On Monday night your daddy asked me to set out your jammies so he could get you ready for bed. The next morning I went into your room and you were not in the jammies that I had set out for you. I asked your dad what happened. I thought, maybe your peed on them or slobbered too much when you were eating your bottle. Nope... these were not the explanation. THE JAMMIES DIDN'T FIT! WHAT? I thought for sure your dad was just lacking in sleep and that couldn't be possible. Sure enough when I went to dress you that morning. Your shirt was so tight and your little pants were short on you... but I still wouldn't believe it and left you in the clothes, until I went to change your diaper later in the day and your little pants were so tight on your belly that you had a red mark! I couldn't believe it - your 0-3 month clothes were not fitting. But they were just yesterday. Still unwilling to accept this fact I went up to your room and pulled out the bin on 3-6 month clothes, convinced that all of these outfits would drown you. I tried the first one on...guess what... IT FIT! So I tried again... IT FIT! And again... IT FIT! I tried every single outfit in the 3-6 month bin on you and they all fit. I just started bawling! I couldn't believe it...it's over! You will never be that small again. I can't believe how fast it went! I called your daddy - he thought I was crazy to be so emotional about this! So I called some friends for some sympathy and to tell them how cruel they were for not informing me of this terrible day. But the best solice was in calling your Grammie! She simply reminded me that your right on time! Doesn't it make sense that your turning three months this week and you would be moving into your 3 month clothing? WHERE IS THE JUSTICE!

Max we've waited so long for you to arrive and sharing every day with you is such a blessing. Yesterday was simply a reminder to how fast it is going by! You will always be my little guy, no matter how big you get! I love you with all my heart!

Warning: The camera has broke and I've been using the camera on my phone. Scary! Anyways the new camera is ordered and I can't wait till it arrives! Hurry quick Mr. UPS man!

I know this is a horrible picture - but it truly shows the sadness. We are both dressed in black so we could morn the loss of the 0-3 month clothes! My mascara all cried off and you exhausted after trying on an entire bin of clothes! We were a mess!

This is a picture of the disater it creates in packing away one set of clothes and getting out the others. I've started preparing myself - apparently we will be doing a lot of this in the first couple years!

Max - Exhausted! Sleeping on the recliner in his bedroom while I finish cleaning the mess that was created!

Your little sleeper say's "I have Issues" - you don't - I just thought it was a silly little sleeper and couldn't resist. Truthfully, I should have found one in my size! :)

Happy Valentines Day!

2/14/09
Dear Max,
Happy Valentines Day! You received lots of fun Valentines today from Cooper, Gramie and Grampy, your cousin Daniel, Nanna, and your mommy and daddy! We all love you so much! However, you were an "equal opportunity" lover this weekend. On Saturday you wore your "My Heart Belongs to Mommy" T-shirt and on Sunday you wore your "I Love Daddy" T-shirt. We don't play favorites around here. You also enjoyed a lovely evening with the baby sitter while dad and I went to the ward valentines party. We had such a nice time and I'm sure your little date with mommy's friend was lots of fun too!
MY HEART BELONGS TO MOMMY!

I LOVE DADDY!

This weekend was also marked with some firsts! Here they are:

Saturday you sat up in your Bumbo chair for the first time! Thanks to Aunt Natalie for hooking you up! You look like such the little man in your little chair. I love it! We sing lots of songs and dance with your hands and arms all while in the bumbo chair. Your dad was so enthralled with it he just sat you on the counter in your bumbo chair and turned on the video camera just to watch you. Is he silly or what!?!?!

Saturday night you slept the longest ever! You have always been a really good sleeper, sleeping at least 4 hours solid since we brought you home. However, Saturday you slept from 11:00 pm - 6:30 am! A new record of 7 and 1/2 hours! Nice job Max!!! That is the best Valentines gift you could ever give your mommy and daddy and we love you for it!

Sunday after church dad was changing your diaper and you decided to pee on him... this is not a first. However, it was enough of a mess that we decided a bath was in order. We got your bath ready and put you in... I was still holding onto you as you had this strange look on your face... I asked myself... Is the water to hot? But your not crying. Are you breathing? Yeah you're breathing. And then there it was... I couldn't believe my eyes... a floater! Your dad laughed while I disinfected the entire area - seventeen times!

In your Bumbo chair watching the Daytona 500! Almost as good as being there in person. And Kevin Harvick (#29) did not dissapoint you on your first race... 2nd place is great!

Baby Belize

Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Dear Belize (Max),
This whole week your dad and I have been and will continue to call you Baby Belize. You see before your arrival we had purchased and planned to spend our vacation this week on a cruise to Cozumel, Costa Mya, Belize and the Bahamas and ending the week at the Daytona 500 race. However, the cruise line has a rule that all babies must be at least 6 months old to go on the cruise. Although we had several offers from family and the best Grammy and Grampy in the world to watch you for the week. The thought of leaving you was unbearable. Max, having you here in our family is better than one million trips to Belize. We know that we will visit another time and the great part is you will be able to come with us! We are thrilled for all the adventures that we will get to experience together. As for this week... Baby Belize it is! We love you Baby Belize!

Dear Max,
I often laugh cause every day I dress you all up and then we hang at home! We do run the occasional errand. But for the most part I am the one that get's to stare at you all day and say... you look so cute! And snap a picture. So here is a photo montage of my ode... All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go!

Two Months Today

It's Been Two Months Since I've known these crazy people!

02/07/09
Dear Max,
Today we have known you for 2 months. I can not believe how quickly time has gone by. Having you here we have experienced such great joy. It has been a blast getting to know you and learning all about you! You are such a good baby. We feel so lucky to have you in our family. You are a good eater (your eating all 4 ounces!), your a good sleeper (good naps during the day and between 5-6 hours at night), and man do you create some memorable diapers! :) Your dad keeps teasing you about the "gas chamber" in your pants! The one question your dad does ask a lot is how is it that we feed you the same thing, over and over yet we keep getting different results from the back end? These are the questions that now fill your dad's and my conversations! We love you! And Happy 2 months!

The Nursery

Here is Max's Nursery

Dear Max
We have been working so hard on your nursery. Of course we didn't have it completed prior to your arrival and have enjoyed making the room just for you. We completed the Nursery about a month ago (January 3rd). Your dad worked so hard painting and putting up the molding and chair rail. I have sense moved a recliner into your room just so I can sit and enjoy you and the nursery we have dreamed of for so long. Love you Max!
