Dear Max,
Christmas! Christmas! Christmas! We had such a wonderful time celebrating this special time of year! Frankly it was so nice to have some time together as a family. It seems that we have all been so busy lately that just having 5 day's off to spend together was gift enough. But don't worry, Santa did stop by too! Here is a run down of the festivities....
Wednesday, December 23rd
Daddy and I both worked that day, so after work, Daddy headed home to pack up and I went to pick you up from Jaime's. As I was on my way to get you I got a text from Jaime that said "I hope your not going anywhere right after you pick up Max...He is kinda a mess!" You had spent the day making and decorating cookies for Santa! I will be honest Max, things have been a bit stressful the last couple of weeks, between the ward party, being the end of your mommies quarter at work and I had completely forgotten about making cookies for Santa! I tell ya - it takes a village and I'm so grateful Jaime is in our village! You had even wrote your letter to Santa and she sent us home with a cute goblet for the milk too. PERFECT! We were set for Santa's arrival. We arrived at Grammie and Grampie's about 10:00 that night and we were all exhausted. You and I actually fell asleep in Grammies bed. About 1:00 am I moved down stairs and you stayed with Grammie. I thought I would check on you about 5:30 I crawled back into bed with you and Grammie and that's when I heard it... The same sound that I had heard back when you had the bout with diarrhea. OH NO! I grabbed the wipes and a diaper when I noticed that it was much worse than I thought - it was EVERYWHERE! Poor Grammie thought she would get a good nights sleep snuggling with her sweet Max. Nope. Not this time! We put you in the tub and got you all cleaned up and you spent the rest of the morning watching the sunrise out of Grammies big window while we tried to go back to sleep.

It's Christmas Eve! Since the morning started kind of early, it took us awhile to get motivated and going in the morning. Grampie got back around 9:00 am and we had breakfast and that's when Grampie decided he had some last minute Christmas shopping to do and Grammie decided the same! So we divided up - Boys and Girls and headed out on a own shopping excursions. For Christmas Eve, Aunt Kathy came over and we had dinner, we then all went over to see Grandma Trenholm. We took our presents and scriptures and so we could have our Christmas Eve program together. First Grandma Trenholm opened her gifts, she was so excited about the robe and slippers you gave her and appreciated the money Daddy and I gave her. We then read the story of the Saviors birth. Grampie read from the bible and I played some music that we had put together. The spirit was so strong and it was so nice to be together, I think Grandma Trenholm was so grateful. And just like Grandma Trenholm likes, we even had a small discussion about the scriptures after. She is so smart and has spent so many hours studying the scriptures, it's always so nice to hear her perspective. We were all so thankful that Grandma had such clarity of her mind while we were there that night. After we left Grandma Trenholm's we decided to drive around and see Christmas lights. Daddy decided he was going to need a drink for the road so we swung into the quickie mart and ran into Teri and Justin with Austin and Kamryn. It was so fun to see them, they had just been out seeing the lights and gave us the inside scoop on a house we could not miss! No sooner do we get back into the car and Auntie Andrea text messaged me and said... their is a house you can not miss... it was the same house! So we headed there. Auntie Andrea was on her way with her mom and dad too - we got their at the same time and WOW! The house was lite up like I have never seen! They decided to follow us to another house that Grammie knew about. Things got a little crazy in the car with two back seat drivers and one out of state driver all thinking they know the best way to get to this house...don't forget Auntie Andrea and her parents are "trying" to follow us. This is about the time that I text Auntie Andrea and say... "save yourselves! stop following us!" They didn't give up and neither did we and we found the house! All the lights were set to music! It was so cool - oh wait, guess what Max - mommies car stereo is broke! We couldn't listen to the music, so we pulled up next to Auntie Andrea's car, they rolled down the windows and turned the music up so we could all hear. We were all laughing so hard (we felt like poor white trash). It's a good thing they follow us - it would have been really sad had we got all the way there and then had no stereo to hear the music. We said our goodbye's and headed home. We decided that we better get you to bed so Santa could come to Grammie and Grampies. We set out your cookies, note and milk for Santa and you headed off to bed. Max, I will tell you it's really fun being parents! When your parents you get to wait up for Santa and make sure he leaves the right things for you. He's a really busy guy, and he's getting kind of old, so it's always good that we double check his order, cause we certainly don't want it to be wrong! Daddy and I had a great time -

It's hear! It's hear! It's finally Christmas morning! We woke up around 8:30 am and had breakfast. Aunt Kathy came over around 9:00 am. After we finished eating we headed down stairs to see what Santa brought. And guess what? He brought you a brand new red convertible! How luck are you?!!? You spent the rest of Christmas morning sitting in your new car opening all your gifts from there. You would open something then put it in your car with you. You had horded all your gifts into your car. Mommy got a pair of diamond earrings from Daddy and a weekend away! Daddy gave Grammie a weekend with you and Cooper! I think your Daddy had that one planned out. Mommy gave Daddy some money for his gun he is saving for. Cooper got some treats he had his eye on. And Grammie and Grampie gave you a tricycle! It is so cool! You can rock on it now - then when you get bigger we can push you on it then when your even bigger you will have your very first tricycle to ride! We spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies and eating. Grammie made a yummy prime rib dinner! And daddy, Grampie and I enjoyed the evening in the hot tub.

We had another lazy day! It is so nice to not have a million things to do! We stayed close to home - Grammie and I went to a couple of stores to see about some after Christmas sale's. Auntie Julie and Janice came over to visit, you were certain to show them your new car too! All this was all mixed in with more movies and food!

We went to church with Grammie and Grampie and then came home and relaxed. The Hill family came over Sunday night - it is always so much fun spending time with them. We visited and laughed and you showed them your new car. We were going to go home - but decided that we would stay another night and leave in the morning.

Grampie had a doctors appointment in Vegas, so Grammie and Grampie followed us home to Vegas. Grampie went to his appointment and Grammie came with us to the social security office. Daddy and I went in while you two waited in the car. You have another official document now - your social security card. I was determined to get this done by the end of the year - as last year at tax season it was such a pain not having your social security card and when we set up your savings account, they needed us to bring in your number so they could finish it. It was not as painful as I thought it was going to be - it was relatively quick! After that we went down to mommies work to visit the office. They were all so excited to see you and couldn't believe how much you had grown! It was perfect timing as we were leaving the office Grampie called and was done with his appointment, we met up at Nora's for an Italian lunch. Grampie headed off in the big truck down to California and Grammie stayed the night with us. Daddy and I took advantage of the baby sitting service and went to see the movie the Blind Side. It has been such a fun holiday and I'm sad that it is already time to go back to reality. Luckily it's only for two day's then we are off again for 4 day's for the new year celebration! Max, it was such a new experience sharing the holiday's with you. You made Christmas magical! Can't wait to do it again! Please be good this year so Santa will come! Love you!
