Drive-in Movie's, 1st Soccer Lesson, Patti's Birthday and just pure happiness

Dear Max,
September 13 - 15, 2013
Another busy, fun filled weekend at the Trenholm house!  It started with a family trip to the drive-in movie theater!  It was a bit warm out still, but it is always fun to load up the truck and snuggle in watching a big movie.  You didn't make it through both movies.  As a matter of a fact, I was the only one awake during the 2nd movie, Tova, you, Dad and Natalie (our neighbor friend down the street that came with us) were all asleep.  That's when I woke up dad and said..."really?!?  Let's go!"  And we left mid movie.
Evidence of the sleepers on the way home!

The next morning we woke up to your first day of soccer!  We signed you up to learn the soccer fundamentals at Las Vegas Indoor Soccer with Lilie Hunter (one of the girls your age in our ward).  On a side note...I had to include these pictures.  You are in love with these fake glasses I got your for your "Dinosaur Digger" costume.  You have been wearing them pretty much non stop.  Including when you wake up in the morning!  I must admit, you rock them!

Getting your new soccer shoes on!  You look excited!!!!

What I like about this is that you are learning the skills of soccer before going into the game scenario.  It seems like it's going to be a good thing!!

Driving in the car, singing at the top of your lungs!  The things I love about spending time with you!!!

Sunday we had the Ballantyne family over to celebrate Patti's birthday.  It's fun to have them over and our home instantly is filled with excitement and laughter.  The best joke we are getting to play on people as of late is having them eat some of Tova's sweedish candy.  We lure them in with a yummy one then catch them off guard with the horrible salt covered black licorice.  Yup!  That's Peter's face after partaking. It takes you by surprise!

We are so very blessed to be busy, active and surrounded by great friends and family.  The weekends fly by, but I'm sure glad that they are rarely boring!  I love you Max!!

Love,

Mom

They say it comes in three's....

Dear Max,
Well...the first disaster happened on Friday when the office called and said...don't come in, your office has been flooded!

Before.....

After....

Then on Friday we were babysitting Maisy and she scratched your sweet face.  Now, I'd like to say that you were innocent in the matter...but that is not the truth.  But it sure did leave a mark!

Then the news came that Papa had taken a fall while working at the shop.  A BIG fall...split open his head, his knee and banged up his arm.  He was able to drag himself over to the truck to call Grammie to come and take him to the emergency room.  He will be unable to drive the diesel truck for a few days, but will hopefully recover as good as new very soon!

Mob Museum

Dear Max,
September 6, 2013
Daddy and I got a date night with friends!  We went to the Mob Museum with the Kendalls and Morrows. Then we went to eat at a Korean / Mexican Fusion restaurant.  I know, not your typical fusion of food you would expect.  We had a great time learning about how the Mob has influenced Las Vegas.  Interesting and yet creepy as well!

Mug shots of everyone.  I hope you never see an actual mug shot of your
mommy or daddy!  That would not be good!!!

This is a picture of Howard Hughes I took for Papa.  Papa use to work for Howard Hughes.  Who had very interesting ties to the Mob.  The really funny part of this picture is it was on my phone for a long time and you would thumb through my photo's and come to this picture and ask.  "Mom, who is that guy with the "smashface"?  That's how you say mustache!  HILARIOUS!!  It may only be me that finds these things funny!  I love you Max!!

Love,

Mom

Date Night

Dear Max,
On Friday night, daddy and I were able to go out on a date with Kimberly and Mike Morrow and Brian and Tashina Kendall.  It was such fun spending time together.  We went to the mob museum and then out to dinner at KoMex.

Today, Sunday was our Young Women's Sacrament program.  It was a beautiful program focusing on Standing in Holy Places.  The girls did such a great job!  I was so proud of them.  I spoke in sacrament meeting as well, it was a wonderful opportunity to publicly share my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I love you Max!

Love,

Mom

Career Day at school

Dear Max,
September 5, 2013
Today at school was career day.  Each of the kids came to school dressed as something they want to be when they grow up.  You went as a Paleontologist, however you couldn't say the word, so you went as a "Dinosaur Digger" and I must add, the dang cutest Dinosaur Digger I've ever met!!  These parts of being your mom are super fun to me (there are a lot of things about being your mom that are fun!) but this kind of stuff I love!  I love you Max!
Love,

Mom

Labor Day Weekend

Dear Max,
This weekend was Tova's first trip with us.  She was able to go through Arizona and Utah for the first time.  We spent the weekend at Grammie's just being lazy!!  We have lot's of busy things on the horizon and decided we better take the downtime when we can get it.  It has been only a few weeks since Tova arrived, but I think we are going to love having her here!
